Glen dePontbriand
grew up in Sandwich, MA, where he attended Sandwich High
School and played baseball at the varsity level for 3
years. Glen was an integral pitcher on both the 1999
New England Regional finalist Cape Cod Cranwaves Senior
Babe Ruth team as well as going 7-0 on the mound for
State Finalist Sandwich Legion Post 188 in 2000. After
High School, Glen pitched two seasons for Bridgewater
State College and the Cape Cod Braves of the Cranberry
League before focusing on his teaching degree. For
three summers, Glen worked as a head counselor for
upwards of twenty-five RBI Academy, Stonehill College,
and Nomar Garciaparra-endorsed baseball camps. This past
season, Glen coached the 18U Mass Pride squad, which
enjoyed success in tournaments in Rhode Island,
Worcester, a marquee showcase tournament in East Cobb,
Georgia, as well as a competitive local schedule
throughout July. He has been the junior varsity
baseball coach for the past six years at
Bridgewater-Raynham High School where he also works as
an English teacher. |
